When I Play the Violin...

I first started to play the violin when I'm in my Primary School, at around 6 years old. Then, as a little boy, I didn't know what a violin is, but I picked it up when my parents told me it will be good for my future.

So I learned to play the violin in school, and it's really enjoyable when I knew I can make music with it :D. I played some simple songs (cradle song, twinkle twinkle little star...) for my family members, relatives and friends. And the feeling is great and encouraging, even though they know the songs are easy songs.

And when I'm older, I practiced and played the violin regularly, and performed with my school's orchestra in concerts, competitions, exchange programs overseas etc. And again, it's a totally different experience playing as a group instead of alone.

However, there are times when I feel like giving up playing the violin. That's when some of my good friends have stopped playing it to pursue other interests, or when I'm frustrated with my progress in violin playing. But nonetheless, I continued and got help from my violin teachers.

And now, I love my violin more everyday, as I will perform for my friends whenever I have the chance. I try to pick up popular songs (new or old), and write them down into notes and play them on my violin.

I created UltimateViolinTools.com in early 2009 to gather young and beginner violinists, violin lovers, and anybody who just love violin music. This site will also help them look for tips on violin playing, tips on choosing the right violin tools etc.

Here is it, my fellow violin lovers. This is how I was introduced to violin playing, and my short experience when I first started to play the violin till now.
